What a good boy you are!

I’ve realized something today. When you are blessed with a good baby, those super cranky days really get to you because you aren’t used to them. My baby is awesome most of the time. From the time he came home from the hospital, he was only waking up once a night to eat and he was sleeping through the night by the time he was 7 weeks old. He’s rarely cranky and when he is, he usually gets over it within a few minutes–nothing a little cuddle or rock in the swing won’t take care of.

Now, last night my little man took an hour to go to sleep and when he woke up this morning at 6 am, he wouldn’t go back to sleep. He got super cranky after I put him in the carrier that I wear–so much so that it took about 30 minutes to quiet him down. Ditto this same experience after about 5 minutes of tummy time. Thankfully when the evening rolled around, he was a much more pleasant baby. I realize how thankful I am for being blessed with such a well-behaved baby and I can truly empathize with those of you who aren’t so fortunate.
