Babies in Church

Our church does not have nursery services for babies in the evening service that we go to. That means we have to take him into service with us each week. However, normally this is not a problem at all. He is a very good baby for the most part. When we first started taking him, he would only fuss when he was hungry. Thankfully our church has a nursing mothers room that you can watch the service on from a TV. This room was convenient until lately it has been filling up with 1)Couples 2)Teenagers and 3)Men. However, we’ve managed to make do as we take a bottle of milk with us so we can just feed him during the service. He also used to sleep through much of the service which he doesn’t do anymore. Now he is awake and makes his cute little noises through the worship and message time. Thankfully he hasn’t farted yet during quiet time haha. I wouldn’t put it past him though. Sometimes the loudness of the worship music scares him and he starts to cry and we have to take him out. It’s weird, he goes through phases where he does really good in church and phases where one of us misses half or more of the service tending to him. I do wish they had a changing table in the bathroom though. It’s quite difficult to get out and unfold the changing pad and lay it on the floor one handed, not to mention picking the baby up, folding up the changing pad and sticking it back in the diaper bag with one hand. Anyhow, I think the baby overall does very well at church and he’s quite popular with the ladies! God really has blessed us.
