Grandma issues

My mother in law never sees my children, she does not even call to check on them. It probably has alot to do with the fact that we don’t exactly see eye to eye. No matter what are differences i do want her to be a part of there lives. The only grandma they know is my mom. My mother in law always tries to buy my husband off, like recently she bought him a guitar. She does that so he won’t be mad at her for not paying attention to our kids. I think that she should at least make the effort to come visit them. There has been plenty of times where she was supposed to come over and she never showed up or my husband would tell her we were going over and then when the time came she would not be there. I feel like it is some what my fault because they are my children and that is probably how she sees them.I don’t see how she could not want to spend time with them. When they do see her they don’t call her grandma my son will say that is daddy’s mom.We have had problems with her in the past, to the point my husband did not talk to his family for over two years and just recently he started to talk to them again. She was great in the beginning ubtil it finally wore out. Hopefully one day she will realize that life is short and you can’t waste it hating people.
