Breastfeeding in public

I never anticipated how hard it would be to breastfeed in public. I am scared to try it, my daughter is 3 months going on 4 and i have never really fed her in public. I usually just end up going to the car. I feel so uncomfortable, even though i know i shouldn’t but i have seen the way some people stare at women breastfeeding in public. I know because i used to get uncomfortable. Now that i am doing it i don’t see a problem. It is all natural , i just don’t get why people make such a big deal out of it. Sometimes i wish i could just feed her when we are out instead of getting up and going all the way to the car. It is not me uncomfortable about it but i am worried about what other people will say and how they will look at me.  I just don’t get it. I hope sometime soon that people will realize that we are doing this for our babies and it shouldn’t be a bad thing and we shouldn’t feel guilty but proud of ourselves.
