He was born on his due date, August 6, 2008 at 9:37 am. What a crazy amazing experience. So worth it though. My decision to give birth naturally I was able to stay true too but I don’t think I’d make that decision again. He was 7.4lbs and 21.75″. Growing more precious and more beautiful to me everyday. With not much free time any more and a lot of new mommy stuff to get adjusted to I’m not sure how often I’ll be posting. Soon though I’ll be managing better and I’ll catch my blog all up!

It is July 20th, 2.5 weeks from my due date and he is still in there hanging out. I am so anxious for him to make his entrance. I hope he doesn’t come late. I am so tired of being uncomfortable! I never thought getting up and down out of a chair would be so difficult! or taking a shower or sleeping or getting in and out of a car or walking around a store! Needless to say I feel ready. As ready as I am going to get. I am getting moodier as well. I am crying a bit more often and just get fed up with things easily. Goofy people be gone!

I am still walking four times a week (for an hour/ about 3 miles) and overall I feel alright, I am just ready for the next step. Pregnancy? Been there done that. Now I am ready ( I hope, oh, I am. ) for labor and delivery.

I will be staying with my parents starting on the 29th and hopefully he will come shortly after that. It’s closer to the hospital and the hubby works closer to their house then ours so I will be quicker to get too if need be. Then there is after he is born I will be staying there as well, I’m sure I will be needing help getting adjusted to my new baby boy and the healing of my body.

Here’s a few pics of me still pregnant as all get out!

Almost everyone I invited came! We played games and ate tasty cake! People came that I have not seen all year. I was so appreciative of all the people celebrating the arrival of my upcoming baby boy! My mother decorated her home and we all had a great time. I got so many precious and useful gifts. One of my favorites was a fisher price rainforest mobile for the crib. I got a baby tub, lots of clothes, a diaper bag and a lot more great stuff. Overall it was just so wonderful to see people that I rarely get to see because I live in another city an hour away. Now onto organizing all this stuff! I’m going to need to get rid of my stuff in order to make room for his stuff. Much needed stuff to get rid of, so no big deal, just got to get to it!

On sunday (7-29) my feet were swollen all day. They swell every once in awhile and I can usually get it them to go down if I put my feet up, but since Sunday they have not gone down. I guess i can be grateful that the swelling just started with “only” five weeks to go. My hands are starting to get puffy too but they generally get better after being awake a few hours but sometimes I can barely bend my fingers to write something down! My ankles some hours are unrecognizable. Today they are actually okay. It is less hot today so maybe the heat has some to do with the swelling. I will post a pic of my “summer sausage” feet after I get one down loaded.

After a full day at a fair in Seattle a terrible accident occurred a few hours after we had got home. Our sweet, beautiful Daisy girl got hit by a car. We had to drive her an hour to an all night emergency vet. The vet said her wounds would be difficult to repair and after surgery there still wouldn’t be a guarantee that she would be able to walk. Daisy being a100lb dog and still very active, recovery would be very difficult.

She was so precious to us. It’s sad that I only realize that more than ever now that she is gone. All the things I considered a pain are nothing compared to her not being here. We got her from the Humane Society for my birthday March 07. She was 4 months old and quite a handful! As the year progressed and we took obedience classes, and socialized her she became such a wonderful dog. She was just beginning to mellow out, getting over her puppy stage, liking to hang out with us more vs. exploring the yards all around us. She was a sweet, gentle, beautiful, independent, happy, lover of family, admired by many pup. I will always miss her. My sweet Daisy girl.

It is June 11, 2008 and I am 32 weeks pregnant as of today. I am very anxious for our baby to make his arrival. Bryan and I took a birth center tour and it made me realize that he’s going to be here quicker than I think! We have begun a birth prep class and we have learned a lot. Very helpful with knowing what my body will be doing and exercises to help me have this little guy in the best way possible.

My due date is August 6 but I have a feeling he will be here early, just a feeling. Maybe he will make a sweet birthday present for my mom, her birthday being on July 30.

The symptoms, I guess that’s what one could call them, are beginnig to get stronger and stronger everyday. My tailbone hurts, I have unbelievable heartburn in the middle of the night, pelvic pressure is quite uncomfortable at times, and I get tired and winded easily. I am keeping up with walking 4 times a week and as for eating, sweets have got the best of me…. Overall I feel good though. Life is good and I can’t wait for this cutie pie to be here! I’m gonna be a mommy! I am a mommy!
